The former Newburgh school superintendent being sued by two former educators for alleged sexual harassment has now taken on the same position in the Bronx.

Dr. Roberto Padilla has been named superintendent for Community School District Seven.

In a statement, Elizabeth Walsh and Una Miller, the two former educators suing Padila, say they're shocked New York City Public Schools, New York City Schools Chancellor David Banks and Mayor Eric Adams are putting their trust in Padilla to run the district.

In their statement, Walsh and Miller say the city should reevaluate their decision to put Padilla in a position of power.

News 12 sources say Padilla will continue to receive his $279,000 salary from Newburgh until November 2023, as part of a "golden parachute" deal made with the district late last year for him to resign during a sexual harassment scandal. 

Sources say Padilla will be paid $215,000 for his new role in the Bronx.
