News 12 is continuing to follow the tragic case of a former federal prosecutor and family court activist from Westchester who died during a court battle for her kids and a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Catherine Kassenoff emailed supporters last Saturday saying that she chose assisted suicide in Switzerland rather than living with the “unbearable pain” of being unable to see her children during her divorce while terminally ill
Kassenoff blamed her estranged husband Allan Kassenoff and the Westchester County court system for contributing to her decision, citing alleged unfair rulings, favoritism and forensic evaluations by officers of the court with conflicts of interests.
