MALVERNE - Former Malverne resident and “Who’s the Boss” star Tony Danza served up drinks tonight to help his hometown.

Danza was a guest bartender at Connolly Station in Malverne to help raise money for Howard T. Herber Middle School’s sixth-grade trip. Two years ago, the class trip was canceled due to budget cuts. A group of parents formed the Save Frost Valley Committee to help raise funds to send the children on the trip. Danza, a graduate of Malverne High School, also joined the cause.

Danza, who used to work at the bar years ago when it was known as Ickle Bickles, served drinks to patrons for a few hours. The night also included raffles and a 50/50 drawing, with all proceeds going to the school.
