Broadway's best come out for 2013 Tony Awards

The stars were out Sunday for the 67TH Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

NEW YORK CITY - The stars were out Sunday for the 67TH Annual Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Broadway’s best hit the red carpet early before the live broadcast at 8 p.m. hosted by Emmy Award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris. The star-studded lineup of presenters included everyone from Jake Gyllenhaal and Zachery Quinto to Mike Tyson and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The big awards for musicals included Billy Porter in "Kinky Boots" for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical, Patina Miller in "Pippin" for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a musical and "Kinky Boots" for best musical.

The big awards for a play included Tracy Letts in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a play, Cicely Tyson in "The Trip to Bountiful" for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play and "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" for best play.

"Kinky Boots," with music and lyrics by Cyndi Lauper, picked up the award for best original score written for the theatre.
