A street in East Tremont is blossoming into a destination for food.
East Tremont Avenue is one of the Bronx's new food havens.
Restaurant owners say that places on East Tremont Avenue like Ocho Siete and Cabo have brought life into the area.
Community Board member John Marano says while new customers are always passing through, local families keep the businesses going. Locals also say it's not unusual to run into someone you know.
Restaurant owners say that while East Tremont Avenue has been known to be predominantly filled with Italian and Irish residents, the new restaurants have created a more diverse community.
