East Hampton police say a woman's body was found on a Montauk beach Saturday.

Police say they were called to the scene shortly before 1 p.m. for a report of an unresponsive female. 

They say the body of the middle-aged woman was discovered on the beach between the Navy Road Town Beach and the Edward V. Ecker Sr. County Park. She was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police say foul play is not suspected at this time. The woman's identity is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
