East End: Turkeys raised on Long Island

They have an unmistakable gobble, but turkeys are also very curious animals - and they love to eat!
Holly Browder and her husband Chris run Browder's Birds, an organic chicken farm in Mattituck. For the past few years, they've also been raising turkeys for Thanksgiving.
Tom Festa, his wife, and children run 8 Hands Farm in Cutchogue. They raise organic turkeys for Thanksgiving. Along with grass and bugs, these birds also enjoy pumpkins.
Both farms raise about 100 turkeys to sell at Thanksgiving - part of a growing trend of people buying organic, locally raised meats.
