Dog Day Fridays for June 2
This week's dogs are up for adoption at the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 300 Horseblock Road in Brookhaven. Their phone number is (631) 451-6950.
May - May came in as a stray after roaming an apartment complex for days. She was finally caught and brought to the shelter. She looked as though she had recently had puppies. She is the sweetest little girl. She loves to snuggle and be by your side. She is about 5 years old and is hoping to find the perfect couch and family to spend her days with.
Captain - Captain is a happy and sweet guy looking for a second chance at a good life. He arrived after being picked up stray by a Good Samaritan. He has waited patiently for his family, but no one has come in looking for him. Sadly, Captain is positive for heartworm. He is currently being treated and will be better than ever very shortly. He is about 3 to 5 years young, 75 pounds, up to date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and he will be neutered as soon as his heartworm is cleared up.
Deuce - Delightful Deuce is waiting for you! He arrived as a stray after being picked up by a Good Samaritan and he has waited for his family to arrive and find him. Sadly no one has come in looking for him, so here he sits hoping that the love of his life will come in and find him. He is playful and outgoing and loves everyone he meets. In the kennel he is a bit shy, but given five minutes, he is your best friend. Deuce is about 55 pounds, estimated to be 2 years young, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, micro-chipped and heartworm negative.
