DA: No grand jury action for father who left twins in hot car

The Rockland County father who left his twins in a hot car for several hours resulting in their deaths appeared before a judge Thursday.
Juan Rodriguez’s lawyer is asking for the Bronx District Attorney’s Office to drop the charges in the case.
The prosecution announced that there is no grand jury action at this time, but they could prosecute at a later date.
Rodriguez is charged with manslaughter and criminally neglect homicide in the death of his twins.
Rodriguez claims he left his two children in his sweltering car by accident last Friday.
His lawyer says Rodriguez feels horrible and that it was an accident.
Rodriguez will be back in court on Aug. 27.
