WOODBURY - Victims of the Newtown, Conn. school shooting are being remembered by their loved ones tonight.

Among the dead is 27-year-old substitute teacher Vicki Soto, of Stamford, Conn., who huddled students behind her in a closet before she was hit by gunfire and killed.

A vigil was held in Soto's honor Saturday night.

Meanwhile, the father of a 6-year-old girl killed came forward to talk about his daughter Saturday. He says the world is a better place because his daughter, Emilie, was in it.

The family had just moved to Newtown about eight months ago. Parker says the support of people in the Northeast has been overwhelming.
