Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Sen. Chris Murphy are expected to hold a rally Friday opposing the Supreme Court justice nomination.
The senators have been outspoken since President Donald Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh. They say Kavanaugh's nomination threatens women's rights, the Affordable Care Act and gun safety.
"To all who care about civil rights, civil liberties, workers' rights, gay rights, your time has come and we need to hear your voice here just as we did during the health care debate, as powerfully and eloquently," Sen. Blumenthal says. "The challenge is yours in stopping this nomination."
The senators will announce their fight to block the nomination on the stairs of the state capital.
Democrats will have a tough time stopping Kavanaugh, as Republicans still have a majority in the Senate.
