CORAM - A Coram veteran and his wife are facing eviction for allegedly burning unseasoned firewood in their fireplace.

Larry and Judy Johnstone say their co-op board told them they were burning unseasoned firewood and garbage in their fireplace. The co-op claims they are in breach of their lease for doing so. The Johnstones deny the claim.

Larry Johnstone says that he keeps wood outside of his home for a few years until it is ready to burn.

The Johnstones say the co-op has raised issue with the fireplace before, but soon after the original complaint, the co-op said it was no longer an issue.

The Johnstones say the complex used to be comfortable and friendly, but now they get the sense that someone is watching them.
