Some country music fans were angry Friday after saying that they received the wrong information about a rain delay at the Florida Georgia Line concert at the PNC Arts Center.
An intense thunderstorm Thursday forced many of the concertgoers to seek shelter before the headliners ever got a chance to take the stage. Many left the show because they were told that the concert would be canceled and rescheduled.
"They made an announcement for everyone to get off the lawn immediately and return to your cars immediately and leave the venue,” says Angela Cuozzo.
Cuozzo says that employees wearing vests told her the show was done and to exit the property. There were also signs around the venue reaffirming this.
But the venue then posted on social media that the show would resume around 10 p.m., after many fans has left. Florida Georgia Line eventually played into the early morning hours.
In an email to customers, PNC Bank Arts Center said "The safety of our fans, artists and employees is always our top priority. We are aware that during last night's concert some fans received misinformation about the show during the weather delay and departed the venue. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this misinformation may have caused.”
“I'll give them a pass if they help me out and help the other people that went through what I went through last night. Clothes are still not dried,” Cuozzo says.
The email from PNC Arts Center also said that representatives will be in direct communication on how they plan to make it up to the customers. Customers should check their email in the coming days for more information.
