An NYPD officer from Oceanside is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill her estranged husband and a child.
Officer Valerie Cincinelli, 34, appeared in Central Islip federal court Friday.
According to court documents, Cincinelli asked her current boyfriend to hire a hit man to kill her estranged husband as well as the boyfriend's own daughter. Federal prosecutors say Cincinelli withdraw from the bank $7,000 to pay the hit man.
Friday morning at Cincinelli's Oceanside home, she was told that her ex was dead. An FBI agent, posing as a hit man, even texted her a photo of the ex-husband appearing to be dead inside a car.
Authorities were seen carrying out boxes from Cincinelli's Oceanside home Friday.
Cincinelli was held without bail. One of her brother's came to court to support her. He had no comment while leaving.
Cincinelli appeared pale and visibly upset during her arraignment, even holding her head at points.
Prosecutors says Cincinelli has a history of "volatile relationships" and that their evidence against her is overwhelming, including allegedly having Cincinelli on video and audiotape planning the murders and trying to destroy evidence afterward.
She is currently suspended without pay from the NYPD, for which she is a 12-year veteran working out of the 106th Precinct in Queens.
