Commuters brave cold as bitter blast continues on LI

Long Islanders are bundling up as the bitter blast of cold continues across the area.
News 12 Long Island's Christina Regnault spoke to some cold commuters at the Mineola train station.
Temperatures are expected to be between 17 to 21 degrees with a low of around 10 degrees. Officials say they have opened warming centers across Long Island.

Many of the Nassau and Suffolk centers will be open through the weekend.

There are also hotlines for people who are struggling to heat their homes.

Suffolk has also set up a hotline for homeless people who need emergency shelter.
