Commack man accused of driving drunk into school bus with kids aboard

A Commack man is under arrest after police say he drunkenly drove into a school bus full of kids this morning. Police say Robert Slavonik,

COMMACK - A Commack man is under arrest after police say he drunkenly drove into a school bus full of kids this morning.

Police say Robert Slavonik, 44, hit a bus from the Three Village School District on Route 25A in Smithtown before driving away. A witness reported Slavonik's license plate to police, who arrested him at his home.

The students aboard the bus were not hurt. Slavonik is expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
