    There is a new push to raise the age to buy tobacco across all of Nassau County. As of now, Hempstead and North Hempstead Towns have already raised the tobacco sale age from 18 to 21. However, Suffolk and New York City also have the 21-year-old requirement. Some Nassau residents have mixed opinions. The Nassau Legislature votes on the tobacco bill May 7.
