Dozens of NYCHA tenants visited the American Museum of Natural History for free Saturday morning.

The trip was made possible because City Councilman Ritchie Torres secured $100,000 for the family science program at the museum.

Over the course of several months, 1,000 children will be able to participate in the free tour complete with breakfast and transportation.

Children who attend will spend the day learning about dinosaurs, rainforests and the natural world.

"The message here is that kids from the Bronx deserve to have access to science," Torres said.

The Family Science Program runs from October to June, according to the museum's website. The program includes activities like a family bird walk, game night and more.
