Boy grazed by bullet returns home from hospital
Police say the 4-year-old boy grazed by a bullet Friday in Long Beach has returned home from the hospital.
Tre Stephens was sitting in his home when at least one stray round went through a door and wall and grazed his ear.
After the shooting, police arrested the man who they say opened fire. According to officials, 20-year-old Obe Isaac, of Long Beach, got into an argument with another person behind the Channel Park Homes. Isaac allegedly fired the shot after the situation escalated.
Isaac is facing several charges, including attempted murder. He was arraigned Saturday and is being held on $500,000 bond.
The Channel Park Homes are just steps away from Long Beach's police station, and the shooting Friday is just the latest to rock the area. Authorities say two men were wounded during a New Year's Day shootout at the complex.
In September 2014, 28-year-old Tyrenzo Brown died in another shooting there.
The Long Beach City Council says it is working on adding more cameras to help quell violence.
