'Boogie Down Booth' debuts at bus stop on Freeman Street
A new Bronx bus stop is now providing riders with some entertainment as they wait for their bus on Freeman Street.
The Boogie Down Booth is a new seating area under the elevated Freeman Street subway station. It features overhead speakers that play music from a variety of Bronx artists. It is also safer and brighter, with the help of solar-powered LED lights.
The new seating area is a collaboration between the Design Trust for Public Space, the Department of Transportation and the Bronx Music Heritage.
