Boogie Down Bites: Sabrosura
A Castle Hill restaurant serving up some popular Latino dishes with a dash of Asian flavor.
Sabrosura features traditional Dominican dishes with a touch of Chinese flavor.
The Castle Hill spot known to customers for its “Chino-Latino,” which is a combination of Dominican and Chinese staples meld into specialized platters.

Co-owner Nelson Ng has been adding his culinary touch in the kitchen for 37 years. Starting back in Hong Kong when the then 17-year-old took a leap of faith, leaving his homeland for the Dominican Republic, where he mastered his cooking skills.
Years later he brought his culinary creations to the Bronx.

Sabrosura features extensive meat platters like the mojito grilled sampler that comes with shrimp, grilled chicken, pork chops and crispy tostones, to the Dominican-style Chinese rice that's the restaurant's signature dish.
The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner for customers craving a Latin-inspired Chinese infusion.

Ng says Sabrosura is all about bringing two cultures to the table at this family owned restaurant that has been serving the Castle Hill community for almost four decades.

“If you work hard in America, you can achieve what you dream of,” says Ng.
