A boat in storage at a Mastic Beach home went up in flames on Wednesday.

Drone video shows the smoke and flames billowing from a boat behind a home on Wavecrest Drive.

Police and firefighters were called just before 3:30 p.m.

Fire officials say the damage could have been worse because the boat was surrounded by trees and was next to a home.

Nobody was injured.
