Black Lives Matter protesters rallied through Smithtown Monday nearly a month after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody.
The protest began around 5:30 p.m. at the Smithtown train station.
One protester told News 12 that equality is a big issue on Long Island and police are not held accountable for their actions.
He adds that instead of funding the police, more money should go into the education system.
