A barbershop in Bedford-Suyvesant hosted its first food drive on Sunday in an effort to give back to the community.
Kenneth Tuney, owner of This Is Us barbershop, says his life changed after he was diagnosed with lung cancer.
He says Nov. 8 marked the one-year anniversary of his last cancer treatment, and now that's he's cancer free and has a second chance in life, he wanted to keep giving.
Tuney and the rest of the barbershop handed out free Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
