If you are at home doing your spring cleaning, items your little ones no longer need could make a big difference for other Long Island families.
Kerry Gillick-Goldberg, of Baby Essentials of Long Island, works hand in hand with Help Me Grow, which is part of Docs for Tots on Long Island, to take care of moms and babies in need.
Normally, the group helps five to seven people a week. Now, because of the coronavirus pandemic they are helping 10 people a day.
Gillick-Goldberg says that because of the virus outbreak many people are afraid of leaving the house or do not have transportation, and the group helps by delivering the products needed.
If people need help, the best resource is dialing 211.
