At least 2 Darien football players charged with assault
UPDATE: May 10, 2019: The charges against Jack Joyce have been dismissed. 
New Canaan police have charged at least two members of the Darien football team with assault.
Brian Minicus, Jack Joyce and an unidentified 17-year-old Darien resident turned themselves in to police following an incident on Nov. 6 at a home in New Canaan. Brian Minicus and Jack Joyce, both 18, play on Darien High School’s football team.
The teenagers face charges ranging from third-degree assault to interfering with an officer.
Darien is set to play against New Canaan Thursday in the annual Turkey Bowl at Stamford's Boyle Stadium.
