Andy Gayot, of Lindenhurst, accused of holding teen, woman against their will for prostitution
A Lindenhurst man has been arrested after allegedly holding a teen and a woman against their will for prostitution.
Suffolk police, along with the FBI and other law enforcement authorities, raided a home on North Greene Avenue, where they arrested 35-year-old Andy Gayot and found two women that they say were forced into a life of prostitution.
Prosecutors say the two women were 22 and 15 years old. They say the 15-year-old was a runaway.
Officials say Gayot routinely struck the women with a hammer and choked them with a power cord. They say he even used a Taser on the older woman and fed their drug addictions by supplying them with cocaine. He allegedly set up locations where the women would be forced to have sex with people.
Gayot faces multiple charges, including compelling prostitution, rape, criminal sex act and unlawful imprisonment.
Police say Gayot would receive all the money from their sexual encounters.
Prosecutors say the 15-year-old was forced to engage in prostitution between 30 and 40 times since November. They say Gayot also raped the underage girl.
News 12 was told the 22-year-old was kept in his custody for eight months in total.
Police said they were called to the house multiple times over the past year, and that drugs were found in the home.
Gayot is being held on $500,000 bail. He is due back in court on Friday.
