Andrew Gayot, of Lindenhurst, pleads not guilty to holding teen, woman captive
A Lindenhurst man pleaded not guilty today to charges he kept young women captive in his home and forced them into prostitution.
Police say Andrew Gayot held a 15-year-old girl and a 21-year-old captive and made them have sex for money.
The 35-year-old is also accused of Tasering them, choking them and hitting them with a hammer.
According to police, the 21-year-old was held for eight months, and the teen was held from November until Gayot's arrest last month.
Prosecutors say Gayot held the women captive in his home on North Green Avenue. Gayot would allegedly set up locations where the women were forced to have sex with people Gayot found on online.
Assistant District Attorney Stacey Skorupa says the women were prostituted hundreds of times, while Gayot pocketed all the money from the people they were forced to have sex with.
Gayot has been charged with kidnapping, compelling prostitution and sex trafficking. He faces a maximum sentence of 25 years on each of those counts if convicted.
