An Amber alert has been canceled after an 8-month-old girl abducted in Queens was found safe.

Police say August Pippins was taken by her father Friday night after he had a dispute with the child's mother.

She was abducted from a homeless shelter in Jamaica. 

News 12 is told the father, Jermone Pippins, is now in police custody.
