Alleged meeting place before 'Junior' slaying serves as focal point of pretrial hearing
The second day of pretrial hearings in the murder case of Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz has wrapped up at the Bronx County Hall of Justice Thursday.
Three NYPD detectives took the stand, speaking on their interactions with not only the defendants accused of stabbing Guzman-Feliz, but also those allegedly involved in planning the act and those present in the Belmont bodega.
The Boston Road home of Diego Suero was mentioned several times in court Friday. According to NYPD detectives, it served as the meeting location before and after the slaying of Guzman-Feliz. Suero is the so-called leader of the group of Trintarios gang members.
Additionally, another witness mentioned multiple times Thursday that he told an NYPD detective he was present the night of the assault and that defendant Jose Muniz held up the machete used to kill Guzman-Feliz and said, "You see this? If you tell anyone what happened, this will happen to you."
Earlier in the day, Guzman-Feliz's mother was seen blowing kisses and waving to people waiting in line to get in the courtroom to show their support. Guzman-Feliz's sister and father were also present.
Court is scheduled to resume Tuesday morning.
