Multiple fire departments are on the scene in Franklin Square after a fire broke out in the basement of a home.

The fire broke out on Rintin Street.

Authorities tell News 12 the fire is now under control, but there is no word on any injuries right now.

A fire also broke out at the Comfort Inn in Syosset.

The hotel on Oak Street started from a dryer vent in the laundry room, officials say.

News 12 has been told the fire was extinguished quickly and no one was hurt. The building sustained extensive water damage.

The fire is not considered to be suspicious.
