Adelphi wins 8th NCAA DII men’s lacrosse championship, 1st in 23 years

Though the Panthers have won a record 7 national championships in the NCAA Division II, they haven’t won one since 2001.

The Adelphi men’s lacrosse team won their 8th national championship and first in 23 years on Sunday in Philadelphia.
Though the Panthers have won a record 7 national championships in the NCAA Division II, they haven’t won one since 2001.
On Sunday, the Panthers beat defending champions Lenoir-Rhyne 12-10.
Though Adelphi trailed to start the fourth quarter, Massapequa grad Brian Harinski scored his third goal of the second half, tying the game at 9.
Just over a minute later, Adelphi took the lead for the remainder of the game with Garden City alum Kyle Steinbach leading the way.
