About 175K UGG comforters recalled due to mold exposure risk
Bed Bath & Beyond announced Thursday that it was recalling about 175,000 UGG comforters sold in its stores due to a risk of mold exposure.
This recall involves Hudson comforters by UGG. The polyester comforters were sold in four different solid colors and three sizes from August 2017 through October 2017 at Bed Bath & Beyond stores nationwide and on the company's website.
The comforters range in price from $70 to $110.
“Mold can be present (in the comforters), posing a risk of respiratory or other infections in individuals with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mold,” according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website.
Anyone who purchased one of the comforters should immediately stop using it and return it to Bed Bath & Beyond for a full refund.
Consumers with further questions can contact Bed Bath & Beyond at 800-462-3966 any time or online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com.
