Officials have announced another case of West Nile virus in Suffolk County.
Health officials say the infected person is a resident in the Town of Brookhaven and over the age of 50.
The person was hospitalized in mid-August and is currently recuperating at home.
So far this year, two other cases of the virus were reported, both in Smithtown.
Mosquito season ends on Nov.1.
Health officials are urging residents to remove standing water around their homes.
