Police in Stamford issued citations to three people for their behavior at a popular beach Thursday evening.
Police say a lifeguard called to report a public disturbance. Officers say when they arrived the trio was playing loud music, wrestling in the sand and imitating sexual acts all in the presence of children.
Capt. Diedrich Hohn says Stamford police are trying to collaborate with the lifeguards to keep the beaches safe.
Police say when they reached the beach, the trio tried to drive off. All three received citations for creating a public disturbance. The driver, David Chavez, was charged with OUI among other charges.
Chavez was released after posting bond.
