Police say three members of a Wyandanch family were stabbed Monday morning, two fatally, and another is in custody after an argument turned violent.
Police say 30-year-old Courtney Williams stabbed his father, brother and wheelchair-bound mother in the family?s Jackson Street home. Williams? father survived and is in the hospital.
Friends and relatives say Williams was mentally ill and that they tried futilely to warn police he was a danger to others. They say his mental condition has deteriorated over the past month.
Several other family members told News 12 cops were called to the home Sunday night, but police would neither confirm nor deny that.
