A 14-year-old girl is in serious condition after being stabbed in Williamsbridge.
According to police, a group of girls was fighting on East 216th Street, near White Plains Road, at around 3 p.m. Monday when one of them was stabbed once in the back and once in the torso.
A police source tells News 12 that the victim is a student at the School of Diplomacy on the Richard R. Green Middle School campus, which is just one block away from the crime scene.
Officials also say the victim ended her school year on long-term suspension, but have not disclosed the reason.
Authorities are now looking into three students as persons of interest in the case.
The stabbing comes less than a week after 14-year-old Timothy Crump was stabbed to death outside his Bronx school, allegedly at the hands of 14-year-old classmate Noel Estevez.
